“Whoever said money can't buy happiness simply didn't know where to go shopping.”

I was recently informed of the location of my flat - Via Luigi Settembrini, approximately 15 minutes from the office on Via Montenapoleone. This does not bode well for my finances. Via Montenapoleone is one of the streets of the famous Quadrilatero d'Oro - the Golden Quadrangle - the four streets where the major fashion houses (D&G, Prada, Armani) have their flagship stores.

I understand that other brands, which are perhaps somewhat more "me", can be found on Corso di Porta Ticinese or in Brera, or even at the famous 10 Corso Como, and there are a large number of outlet stores but that will be something to explore when I arrive.

Speaking of arrival, due to personal circumstances, I won't be flying out to Milan until 17 March, starting in the office on 19 March. Some of that time will certainly be devoted to my somewhat limited knowledge of Italian vocabulary. It seems that even though my work will obviously be in English, the day-to-day language in the office is Italian. My tutor has done well in the last month that I've been studying the language, but there's only so much she can do in that time! Direct and indirect pronouns, particularly together, are not an easy concept in Italian.
